Maggots and spikes are typically used for Panfish during the ice season, however, it is now being used more throughout the year and on multiple species.
For example, Lake Superior white fish in August or steelhead in the spring.
It has been very popular for use in bedding Panfish. This larva is extremely durable however it must be stored at 33° to 38° F to keep them from spoiling.
